10th of February 2017, Auditorium Santa Casa da Misericórdia da Amadora

On the 10th of February took place in Amadora the 1rst Consultation Meeting. The event took place in the Auditorium "Santa Casa da Misericórdia da Amadora". The Arrival Cities Project was introduced to the Amadora Social Network during the first annual meeting of the Local Council of Social Action. The meeting, chaired by the Mayor of Amadora who also chair the Council, was attended by 42 representatives of the local organizations, including Associations, Private Social Solidarity Institutions, Foundations, Social Security Institute, Parish Councils, Health Centre, Hospital, Schools, Public Security Policy and other public services.

The participants were informed about the the Arrival Cities Network within the framework of the URBACT Operational Programme and the opportunity it represents to facilitate the exchange of experiences, transferring policies and practices and support the cities in reviewing their current situation in what concerns to the integration of immigrant and refugees.

The presents were also enlightened, how to take part in the process of improving the local Action Plan for the Integration of Immigrants and invited to follow the activities of the Project by facebook (https://www.facebook.com/arrivalcitiesnetwork/) , Twitter (https://twitter.com/ArrivalCities) , blog the oficial page (http://urbact.eu/arrival-cities ) and by subscribing the Newsletter of the network.
